A commission by Pernod Ricard, the French drinks group, for a new POS unit to promote their anise flavoured spirits in large retail environments, under the brand; 'l'Atelier des Pastis', along with accompanying advertising imagery for online and print.
The brief outlined a desire to attract a younger demographic to their portfolio of brands, which include Ricard and Pastis 51.

Inspiration was taken from the modernist architecture of the Côte d'Azur region and Marseille in particular, the home of the groups' headquarters. An asymmetrical composition of coloured blocks and frames that would stand out against the regimented interior elements of a supermarket.
Low fabrication costs per unit and ease of assembly were priority drivers in the design development and final proposal.
